Progressive spawns - after the bunkers have been taken out axis spawns back by the 88s and allies spawn at the bunkers. Useable weapons - axis can use both the mortars and the 88s, the 88s can be set to target four different areas. Objectives: Axis - defend the bunkers and 88s for 15 minutes to win. Allies - Take out the 88s to win - secondary objective is to blow up the two main bunkers in order to move up the spawn points. Explosives: Bangalores for the shingle - located on the beach Satchel charges to breach the bunker door, bunker wall as well as blowing up both bunkers - located on the beach TNT for the 88s - located in the underground area connecting the two main bunkers About the map: This is the remake of my old dod_strand from back in 2002. Originally I worked on this remake in 2004 while waiting for Source, but I never got the map finished due to work and the fact that I encountered some errors that needed a lot of work to fix. Finding myself very bored this easter, I decided to see if I could finish up the map quickly seeing that there are still people out there playing dod 1.3, who might want another map to run around. The map is not finished by far - the back area is not particularly well designed, and the textures and lighting is far from how I imagined it, but this is just a quick fix up in order to make it playable. The map has never been playtested so the balance of the routes and objectives is probably quite a bit off. Credits: Seeing that it's five years since I worked on the map I'm not 100% sure who to give credit to for the models and the textures, so if you feel left out I'm terribly sorry, but my notes are long gone ... Sound: Thrik Sharpshot Useable 88: I made a couple additions to Fuzzdads working 88 - but basically it is all his entity work Useable mortars: I believe these were taken from dod_charlie PS - In regards to which map came first, likeness to other maps etc: this map was out prior to dod_charlie and the name was taken by me years before the dod:s map dod_strand was released. PPS - This is supposed to be the last version of this map - but if anyone actually wants to play it seriously, and there is some major bug, or it needs some tuning to the axis timer or what not, I can be persuaded to help out.
